Foot fetish language mixes anatomy, clothing, poses, power dynamics and live-cam mechanics. Some terms are precise; others change meaning from one community or performer to another. This glossary defines forty useful terms in plain English so adults can search more accurately and make clearer requests.
A definition never implies consent. A model or partner who uses one term may still exclude particular touches, language or explicit acts. Ask when the practical meaning matters.
Feet, toes and poses
- 1. Soles
- The underside of the feet, from heel to toe pads. “Sole close-up” usually means the soles face the camera, but duration and framing should be confirmed.
- 2. Arches
- The curved areas along the inner side and underside of the foot. A side angle, pointed foot or raised heel makes the arch more visible.
- 3. Balls of the feet
- The padded forefoot just behind the toes. It bears substantial pressure when standing in high heels and often shows creases during toe flexing.
- 4. Heels
- Either the rear part of the foot or, depending on context, high-heeled shoes. “Show heels” is ambiguous; “bare heels” or “stiletto heels” is clearer.
- 5. Toe pads
- The soft underside of each toe. Close-up requests may focus on toe pads, toeprints or the small creases beneath them.
- 6. Toe spread
- Actively separating the toes. It can be done barefoot, in toe socks or through sufficiently flexible sheer hosiery.
- 7. Toe point
- Extending the foot so the toes continue the line of the leg. The pose emphasizes the instep and arch; it differs from tightly curling the toes.
- 8. Sole wrinkles
- Natural skin folds that become more visible when toes curl or the forefoot flexes. They vary between people and are not a measure of age or hygiene.

Presentation and foot care
- 9. Pedicure
- Cosmetic care of feet and toenails, often including nail shaping, cuticle care and polish. A pedicure is not evidence that skin is free of infection or injury.
- 10. Polish
- Colour or clear coating applied to toenails. Viewers may specify a colour, glossy finish, matte finish or French-style tip, but a performer may only have what is visible.
- 11. Natural feet
- Usually means feet shown without nail polish, elaborate styling or heavy editing. It does not necessarily mean unwashed, unshaved or untouched by foot care.
- 12. Barefoot
- Without shoes or socks. A barefoot tag says nothing by itself about poses, cleanliness, domination or explicit content.
- 13. Dirty soles
- A visual interest in dust, marks or outdoor-worn soles. Because contaminated or broken skin may create health concerns, partners should agree on limits and avoid unsafe substances.
- 14. Oiled or lotioned feet
- Feet coated to create shine, reduce friction or support massage. Body oil, lotion and sexual lubricant are different products; oil can damage latex condoms.
- 15. Close-up
- A tight camera frame showing detail. Ask whether it covers soles, toes, arches, polish, hosiery weave or footwear rather than assuming “feet close-up” includes all of them.
- 16. Sole pose
- A seated, reclining or standing pose that turns one or both soles toward the viewer. Comfort and balance determine how long it can be held.

Hosiery and footwear
- 17. Pantyhose
- A single, usually sheer waist-to-toe garment covering both legs. British speakers commonly use “tights” for the same general construction.
- 18. Tights
- Waist-high legwear often associated with thicker or more opaque fabric in American usage. Product labels and regional usage overlap with pantyhose.
- 19. Stockings
- Two separate leg coverings. Traditional stockings use garters or suspenders; self-supporting versions are commonly called stay-ups.
- 20. Thigh-highs
- Stockings or long socks that end on the upper thigh. They may be held by elastic, silicone grip or a garter system.
- 21. Reinforced toe
- A denser hosiery section around the toes, designed for durability. The darker or more opaque band is itself a visual preference for some viewers.
- 22. Sheer toe or sandalfoot
- Hosiery with no obvious dark reinforced panel at the toes, often chosen for open shoes. A seam may still be present.
- 23. Denier
- A measure related to yarn mass. In hosiery shopping, lower denier usually looks sheerer and higher denier more opaque, though knit and finish also affect appearance.
- 24. Shoeplay
- Using footwear as an active part of a pose or scene: dangling a shoe, sliding it on and off, showing the outsole, using straps or staging a try-on.

Actions and dynamics
- 25. Foot worship
- Deliberate admiration or service directed toward a partner’s feet. It can be sensual, affectionate, submissive, dominant or purely visual.
- 26. Foot massage
- Manual rubbing or pressure intended for comfort, relaxation or sensual touch. Medical claims should not be inferred from an ordinary erotic massage.
- 27. Trampling
- Standing or stepping on another person as a form of pressure or power play. It carries injury risk and requires separate negotiation, body-area limits and safety planning.
- 28. Shoe dangling
- Letting a loose shoe hang from the toes or forefoot, often with a mule, pump or flat. It combines foot movement with anticipation of removal.
- 29. Sock removal
- A reveal built around slowly taking off socks. Requests can specify rolling, peeling, using the other foot or keeping the camera on the emerging sole.
- 30. Toe teasing
- Playful focus on toe movement, polish, partial concealment or delayed close-ups. The exact action varies and should be read from the menu.
- 31. Footjob
- Stimulation of a penis using feet. It is an explicit adult activity requiring specific consent, controlled pressure, adequate lubricant and appropriate safer-sex choices.
- 32. Roleplay
- A mutually agreed fictional dynamic, such as worship, service, shoe salesperson or dominant instructions. A role does not erase real boundaries.

- 33. Room topic
- The broadcaster’s current headline or status message. It may describe the show, a goal or available requests and is more time-sensitive than a profile biography.
- 34. Tags
- Keywords attached to a room or profile, such as soles, socks or heels. Tags help discovery but may be broad, old or used differently by each model.
- 35. Tip menu
- A list connecting token amounts to stated actions. Use the exact amount and read duration and conditions; an unlisted amount is normally just a tip.
- 36. Room goal
- A shared token target that unlocks an action for the room after viewers collectively reach it. A contribution is not an individual purchase of the full goal.
- 37. Public show
- The ordinary room visible to the public audience, subject to platform access and the broadcaster’s settings. Chat, previews and tipping usually happen here.
- 38. Private show
- A show requested by one user and generally billed per minute after the broadcaster accepts. Privacy does not imply consent to every request.
- 39. Spy show
- A platform mode that may allow other eligible users to watch an ongoing private show at a separate rate without interacting directly, when the broadcaster enables it.
- 40. Tokens
- The platform’s virtual credits used for tips and eligible paid features. Chaturbate describes tokens sent to broadcasters as tips or gratuities and generally treats purchases and tips as final.
